EVEN HEROES NEED A HOME

THE NETFLIX MCU HAS LOTS OF HEROES. AND LOTS OF FANS. NOW, THEY HAVE A CENTRAL HOME FOR BOTH.

Facing a near-constant flow of new superhero shows, the Netflix MCU and partner IGN teamed up with Armed Mind to develop a specialized hub where fans could go to find the latest and greatest news for their favorite shows – and win some loot just for stopping by.

Daredevil. The Punisher. Iron Fist. Jessica Jones. With that kind of superhero roster, our partners at IGN and Netflix were less worried about crime than a few key strategic considerations:

  • 1) How can they create a central hub for fans to avoid building a series of silo’d sites that must shut down just as they begin to accumulate traffic?
  • 2) Where can they centralize all of IGN’s editorial content for shows without mixing up Neflix MCU with other Marvel content, such as film and comic book features?
  • 3) What mechanism would allow the site to eventize the premiere of each show, while still allowing for organic discovery of earlier-released shows?

The answer: Armed Mind’s flexible, modular hub that not only provided the IGN editorial team flexibility with pushing content live, but a layout that seamlessly transitioned between hero treatments for Netflix’s biggest superheroes.
